After the pause of coronavirus and without a pause on Brexit, our family has decided to move to Portugal. It’s been on the cards since the vote in 2016 – my husband is Portuguese and his family are in and around Lisbon. The idea of losing the benefits that Europe offers, well, we just can’t let that happen.
FuturEcoLogic will be working in much the same vein as it has operated during the Covid crisis. We continue to act as a critical friend and mentor, helping organisations grow their own sustainability practices and being part of climate solutions. Please email us as normal as we continue to support our clients.
Green Tides has a brand new, enthusiastic and competent committee. Six volunteers recruited during the crisis take over the reins with some brilliant projects already in the pipeline. Their recruitment shows another positive benefit seen from the closure of much of normal life, an increase in the numbers of people wanting to volunteer in their green spaces.
I will continue to represent Worthing Climate Action Network on the Citizens Climate Assembly advisory board, with this now fully virtual project due to commence in autumn. This, in addition to Zero 2030, and the myriad of incredible work and projects undertaken by others, will be a legacy that I’m proud to have played a part in. Thank you to all the beautiful people who make our community great – it’s been a joy working with you all.
